Do you want to help author a textbook? Here is your chance! Wikibooks is a project to develop open-source text books in many fields. You can view some completed books here as well as join the community and become an author of texts for the future. There are book projects in almost all disciplines. Perhaps you will find a good text for a class that you are teaching.

Curriki: Open-source curriculum
 

While we are on the topic of collaboration and global projects, you will want to check out Curriki, an open-source (free) resource for curriculum ideas. You can find lessons here that are edited by peers as well as post a lesson for others to review. This is one of the sites that Mark featured in this month's Curriculuminous.


Active Science
 

This little site has small games and activities for the younger kids. Many of these activities would be great with the Smartboards in the lower school computer labs. Check out what Active Science has to offer.
