With the rapidly increasing volume of information published on the Internet, new ways to search and analyze data are being explored. Here you will find two examples that are just amazing.

We Feel Fine
The first, “We Feel Fine”, searches the Internet for blogs that have the word feel, feels, feeling etc. It then takes the entire sentence that contains the trigger word and brings it into the “we feel fine” environment. You can use this tool to see how the world is feeling. Perhaps you are interested in feelings in England on July 4 th, use this tool to search build the search. There are many ways to explore and represent this social data. Best advice for exploring this tool- just start clicking around and see what happens.

Universe
This tool searches news stories for the day, week, month or year. Enter a search term and follow the directions. Look close as you might find it hard to follow at first. Create a universe around your search term and see how the social data is connected. Again, don’t be afraid to click and follow a news trail to its source. Have fun exploring your universe.
