Introducing Media Services

This year, Greenhill has created a new business unit under the Technology umbrella called Media Services. Led by Mike Terry, Media Services is responsible for event coverage, media sales, and internal advertising and underwriting management.

Since September, the department has produced four DVDs of Fine Arts and Lower School events (Pops concert, First Grade Thanksgiving, Kindergarten Nutcracker and the Choral Holiday concert), making them available to the parent community for purchase. Media Services has plans for twelve to fifteen more productions and promotional CD-ROMs by the end of the year.

7th Grade Art History

Currently, we are working on 7th Grade Art History coverage. If you have never journeyed through the 7th Grade pod on this interesting day, put February 15 on your schedule. The students study a number of modern art movements. They select representative artists to research and reproduce works in the style of these artists. On Feb. 15, they demonstrate their art knowledge and showcase their work.

Media Services will be covering the day, photographing their art, digitizing their presentations and posting materials to the web so that you can enjoy the students’ work online.

DVD Sales

For those of you with children on campus, be on the lookout for opportunities to purchase our DVDs. We’ve just implemented an employee discount for our media (our apologies to those who have already purchased disks—we just put this into effect). You will get 25% off the first DVD from each event you purchase.

These DVDs typically contain footage from the concert, play, or presentation and materials from activities leading up to the event. To see samples of these DVDs, stop by the Tech Office or click here:
